Two childhood friends and one shared goal, the survival of Barcelona’s most historic bars. This was the endeavour of Enric Rebordosa and Lito Baldovinos when, in 2014, they decided to invest in La Confiteria, a modernist establishment dating back to 1912 and now a classic cocktail bar, which kicked off a major adventure which has many episodes yet to be completed.

We are passionate about places with soul, with patina, with bars that have hearkened to the stories of generation after generations, but which still have a wealth to offer, and we are working to restore the city’s historical heritage in a time of loss of identity and authenticity. La Confiteria, Bar Muy Buenas, Cèntric, Betlem and Cafè del Centre are the flagships of this kind of venue, having been distinguished by Barcelona City Council as Emblematic Establishments of the city.

 

We also love to open bars, restaurants and cocktail bars, bestowing them with their own identity, crafting new concepts that end up becoming brands associated with the city that hosts them, always in harmony and in keeping with the environment that surrounds and inhabits them.

 

We work efficiently and sustainably with kilometre-zero products and applying criteria that help us to keep each project within its uniqueness, which has enabled us to bring several venues to the international showcase, such as the Paradiso cocktail bar, ranked No. 1 in the world according to the World’s 50 Best Bars 2022 list, Dr. Stravinsky ranked N0. 25 on 2019, or Monk, winning the Best Opening 2022.

 

Grup Confiteria currently comprises 15 establishments: La Confiteria, El Maravillas, Paradiso, Dr. Stravinsky, Bolero Bar, Bar Muy Buenas, Mudanzas, Michigan, Balius, Cafè del Centre, Betlem, Bodega Molina, Cèntric, Macba Bar and Monk.
